Tsunieshi Heavy Industries (Cebu) Inc. represented by its Chairman, Mr. Kenji Kawano in partnership with the Province of Cebu headed by Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and the Municipal Mayor of Balamban, Hon. Alex Binghay do the symbolic turn-over ceremony of the newly constructed 50 bed capacity hospital, in Balamban last Feb. 14, 2007.
THICI donated the building worth P24M while the Province of Cebu will provide the equipments, supplies and personnel needed in running the hospital while the Municipality of Balamban donated the lot of where the building is constructed.Since it coincides on Valentines Day, it is very memorable event as THICI shows its love to the community by donating this hospital to the Province of Cebu so the people of Balamban and its neighboring towns will no longer go to Cebu City for its medical needs.
As part of THICI’s company social responsibility, THI is aware that it needs to upgrade its present district hospital from a 10 bed capacity to a 50 bed capacity since the population of Balamban is increasing and it can no longer accommodate the medical needs of the people. That is why THI always gives support to the local government in helping its community in addressing one of its basic needs of the people of Balamban and its neighboring town by donating the said building.
