THICI Management and its employees believe that while the company
is engaged in the manufacture and repair of merchant ships, environmental
protection can similarly be achieved as well as the protection
of human health, thereby creating and supporting a climate conducive
to sustainable development.
Environmental Management System is a set of management tools,
principles and procedures that an organization can use to help
protect human health and the environment from the potential impacts
of the organization's activities, products and services.
To demonstrate its sincerity, THICI Management showed its commitment
to comply and conform its established Environmental Management
System (EMS) to the standards and be certified with ISO 14001.
The company and its staff pour much effort for the
establishment of an EMS to ensure that the environment will not
be harmed and will be taken cared of with its on-going ship building
and ship repair operations.
On November 21, 2003 the Environmental Management System of THICI
was certified and registered by Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NK) complying
to ISO 14001:1996 standards. THICI then is the first shipyard
in the Philippines to be certified with ISO 14001.
We, the management and employees of Tsuneishi

while satisfying our customers and the stakeholders.
To realize this, we will endeavor to reduce energy consumption,
reduce waste and generation as well as the reduction or elimination
of pollution risks to the air, water and land, where it is viable
and environmentally safe.
THICI shall continually evaluate and implement appropriate,
environmentally-safe pollution control, waste treatment and
disposal, whenever the waste minimization strategies are not
sufficient.
We seek continual improvement in all our systems of production
and regularly review them to ensure that our environmental objectives
and targets are met and the Environmental Management System
is effectively implemented.
We commit to adhere to all applicable legal as well as
other environmental requirements in line with our business endeavors.
We further commit to take care of the health and safety
of our workers in line with our efforts in the protection, preservation
and enhancement of our environment through various activities.
This environmental policy shall be the framework for setting
THICI environmental objectives and targets.
This policy shall be communicated to all the employees
and made available to the public.
It is management's strong belief that Quality

adheres to strengthen its quality system by adapting the ISO international
standard.
Endowed with a dynamic effort of our staff, THICI was certified
for ISO 9002 by Nippon
Kaiji Kyokai on December 1998. We take pride in such certification,
as it is a true mark of excellence. Implementation of ISO 9002
assures our customers no compromise for quality.

system standard on December 22, 1998, and was upgraded to ISO

to the society's regulation. Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NK) is a bonafide

standard.
